Tennessee Promise

What Does Tennessee Promise Mean for You?

The Tennessee Promise Scholarship helps Tennessee high school graduates pay for two years of tuition at an in-state community or technical college. As a last-dollar scholarship, it will cover college costs not met from Pell grants, the HOPE Scholarship or Tennessee student assistance awards.

To use the Tennessee Promise, students must take at least 12 hours of classes each semester. The program will cover five consecutive semesters, if a student maintains his/her eligibility, and students must enroll in community college the first fall semester after they graduate from high school. The program does not cover books and other materials.
